The Legend of the Candy Cane: The Inspirational Story of Our Favorite Christmas Candyby Lori Walburg, Illustrated by James Bernardin

In a frontier town, a stranger arrives and takes over an abandoned storefront.  Who is he? Why has he come? What is he selling? Adults and children alike project their fondest wish onto this stranger and his mysterious wares.  At last the secret is revealed and the children get their wish. The stranger is selling many kinds of candy. And the most interesting kind of all is the candy cane, a symbol of Jesus' birth, death, and resurrection.
