PeaPod and the Princess Party continued
“Really!” the others all said.
And so the elves joined the party. Tad wowed them with his magic tricks. Neither he nor his audience realized that Bluestar was assisting to make them truly magical. Thimble added extra glitter to the girl’s gowns. PeaPod secretly helped the girls with their “Kiss the Frog” game. Mistletoe hid a “pea” under a stack of pillows for the “Princess and the Pea” game. And Jasper made sure the treasure chests were well hidden for the “Find the Queen’s Treasure” game. Starshine sprinkled elf powder in the strawberry punch, making it extra delicious. |
Back in Glimmer Glen, the elves talked about the party.
“I had so much fun!” said Mistletoe. “I’m so glad you asked us to help.”
“Even if the princesses weren’t real?” asked PeaPod.
“They were real girls,” said Starshine.

“They were real girls,” said Starshine.

“What is a ‘princess’ anyway?” asked Bluestar.
“Hm,” said Jasper. “Usually it is someone with royal blood. But I think other traits are just as important.”
“Like being kind,” offered Thimble.
“A true princess must learn how to dance,” said Mistletoe.
“She should be courteous,” added Gus.
“The girls were all those things today,” said Bluestar.
“Here! Here!” boomed Gus. “It was a true Princes Party.”
“Here! Here!” agreed all the Glimmer Glen elves as they tossed their hats in the air. All except Thimble, who lifted just one corner of his, and gave a slight nod.
